Choose a challenge mat and place it on the game tray or in the storage slot. Place chess pieces on the challenge mat as indicated. Then capture the pieces one by one. When only one piece remains on the board, you win.

The game contains 60 challenge cards ranging from beginner to expert with solution descriptions referring to the chess board positions.
